Board of Health Meeting
Tuesday, February 3, 2015
Meeting Start Time: 6:30 pm
Place: 2nd floor Hearing room
Hanson Town Hall, 542 Liberty Street, Hanson, MA 02341
Having a quorum, Mr. Amado called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
Present: Chairman Amado, Mr. McSweeney, Mr. Edgehille & Ms. Tramontana
REVIEW OF AGENDA
Read and sign all mail, permits, warrants and expense vouchers.
NEW BUSINESS
- The next Board of Health meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February, 24 2015 at 6:30pm.
- Transfer Station Hours – Motion made by Mr. McSweeney to approve the opening of the Transfer Station on Sundays 8:00am – 5:00pm. Second by Mr. Edgehille for discussion. This would give the TS employees 2 consecutive days off and allow for residential use on Sundays. 3-0 unanimous for approval. Pending union approval, this will take effect July 1, 2015
- Septic Plans before the Board for review and approval.
472A Indian Head Street – Deed Restriction – 2 Bedroom - Mr. McSweeney made a motion to approve the following variance 2nd by Mr. Edgehille. Unanimous 3-0
- Allow the use of a sieve analysis instead of perc test to determine L.T.A.R
- 318 Birchbark – Deed Restriction – 3 Bedroom - Mr. McSweeney made a motion to approve the following variance 2nd by Mr. Edgehille. Unanimous 3-0
- Allow the use of a sieve analysis instead of perc test due to high water.
- Health Agent Report – 263 Woodbine septic system is overflowing. High water usage. System has been pumped. Panel is working properly. Resident has until March 2, 2015 to have a Title V conducted.
- Mr. McSweeney would like to explore the option of adding additional soil evaluators to witness perc tests.
- Old/Unfinished business:
- Body Work Regulations –Tabled
- Tobacco Regulations – Tabled
- Any business that has come in since this agenda was posted
- Update from staff on any business since the last Board of Health meeting
- Adjournment
Motion to adjourn meeting made by Mr. McSweeney, second by Mr. Edgehille. Unanimous 3-0.
